When a man inhales these aromatic compounds, he perceives women as more attractive and feminine. This apparently contributes to the formation of more positive impressions and strengthens the emotional connection more strongly. In addition, scientists have found that these scents have a calming effect on men—their impact can be determined by the level of stress biomarkers in saliva, which decrease upon inhalation of such aromas.
