China begins submerging data centers

China has started submerging data centers. Off the coast of Shanghai, the first large center is being built where all equipment will operate beneath the sea surface. Sea water will cool the system, and nearby wind turbines will provide electricity. If the project succeeds, such centers will begin to be built throughout China.
