New Divorce Law in China

In China, a law has been passed that prevents a man from having to give up half of all assets upon divorce. The division of assets after divorce will now be based on the financial contribution of each spouse. If the wife has not contributed financially to the purchase of property or other assets, she will not be entitled to any share, even if she managed the household and raised the children.
