Hallucinogenic mushrooms slow down aging and extend life by up to 30%, a study shows. Key findings: Psilocybin, the active component of psychedelic mushrooms, extended the lifespan of mice by one-third. Psilocin, a byproduct, extends the lifespan of human skin and lung cells by more than 50%. The effect can also be observed with the late onset of therapy - scientists have high hopes for psilocybin in the creation of anti-aging drugs. However, do not rush to try: experiments were conducted only on animals and under doctor supervision. At home, there is a high risk of experiencing a psychotic episode and legal issues.
