Japanese Create Universal Artificial Blood

Japanese scientists have created artificial blood that is suitable for everyone - it can be transfused without regard to the patient's blood type. The artificial blood is produced by extracting hemoglobin from expired donor blood. The hemoglobin is encased in a protective shell, forming stable and safe erythrocytes that lack antigens and therefore have no blood type.
