Japanese VR Game Improves Vision

June 1, 2025

The Japanese have created a VR game that can actually improve vision - it requires aiming and shooting at targets at different distances, forcing the eyes to constantly change focus. The experiment lasted 6 weeks, and in the end, all 10 participants recorded improvements in vision. It was especially helpful for people who suffered from myopia. The game works as an eye trainer, without medications or surgeries. With regular practice, it can have an effect similar to visual gymnastics, only in the form of a shooter for VR headsets. This may be the first step toward using VR not only in entertainment but also in personalized medicine - from prevention to real vision correction.
