Is Orgasm the Goal of Sex?

Is orgasm the goal of sex? Most people would answer affirmatively. But not sexologists. For sexologists, orgasm is not a criterion of good sex. It only occurs when couples do not make a cult of it and do not await its appearance. No couple says they engage in orgasm; they talk about sex. So why does orgasm take the forefront, while the act of sex itself is forgotten?
