What is the Kamasutra really about? Only about one-fifth of the book is dedicated to sexual practices, and specifically, only three chapters are about sexual positions. Other sections discuss how to be a respectable citizen and provide reflections on the relationships between men and women. Essentially, the Kamasutra was more akin to a book on sex education. However, it gained significant popularity and over time was adorned with illustrations and even more variations of sexual positions were invented.
